Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful implementation of an OMS system. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate closely with stakeholders, vendors, and project teams to ensure the project's objectives are met while adhering to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of the OMS implementation project, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and overall strategic objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, schedule creation, risk management, and communication strategies.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including department leadership, correctional staff, IT teams, and healthcare providers, to gather requirements and ensure project alignment with operational needs.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and consultants to manage procurement, contract negotiations, and vendor performance to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
  • Define and monitor project performance metrics, track progress, and report status updates to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success, while proactively addressing any issues that arise during the implementation.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Ensure effective communication and change management strategies are in place to engage stakeholders and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct post-implementation assessments to evaluate project success and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements related to electronic health records and correctional facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex projects, preferably within the healthcare or government sector.
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale technology implementations, including EHR systems, within stringent timelines and budgets.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and electronic health record systems, with a focus on correctional healthcare being a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Proficiency in project management software, collaboration tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in risk management, change management, and vendor management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
