Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Location: Tewksbury, MA

Job Description:

As a Logistics Coordinator a, you will play a crucial role in coordinating import and export logistics activities across various transportation modes, including ocean, air, and truck. Your responsibilities will involve monitoring shipments from booking through delivery, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth operations within the global supply chain. Responsibilities:

+ Coordinate import and export logistics activities, working with multiple carriers.

+ Proactively monitor shipments from point of pick-up to point of delivery.

+ Maintain accurate records, track shipments, and provide necessary documentation.

+ Investigate and resolve logistics-related problems, identifying root causes and developing effective solutions.

+ Assess the effectiveness of current global logistics and transportation processes, recommending improvements and facilitating institutionalized change.

+ Monitor contract compliance of carriers and other logistics service providers.

+ Coordinate and communicate global logistics issues between logistics service providers, Inside Sales, and Outside Sales.

Skills and Qualifications:

+ Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Studies, or equivalent job-related experience (34 years).

+ Strong quantitative and analytical skills, familiarity with logistics and production planning concepts (e.g., just-in-time, materials requirement planning).

+ Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet position requirements with attention to detail.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including database and spreadsheet software.

+ Understanding of transportation contracts and tariffs.

+ Effective communication skills for presenting findings and making recommendations.

+ Comfortable collaborating with individuals at all organizational levels.

+ Ability to multitask and switch gears to handle urgent transactions.
