What is a Projects/Contract Specialist?

The Projects/Contract Specialist will prepare, manage and execute project contracts ensuring that all aspects of the finished product conform to contractual requirements. Manage Company technical documentation and document control activities in support of overall Company goals.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with contract administration experience. Experience managing projects including quotation through shipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Review and analyze customer requirements through specifications, blueprints, contract terms and conditions or other information to develop and prepare a detailed proposal which describes type of equipment needed.
  2. Calculate size and create preliminary design, determine price, delivery time and financial terms for the described product.
  3. Overall project management responsibility from quotation inception through final inspection.
  4. Work with engineering to continuously improve the flow of product and the uniformity of order processing.
  5. Provide direct technical consultation with customers, sales and other Company departments.
  6. Prepare documentation, proposals or procedures that the customer requires.
  7. Process material/equipment orders and expedite shipping.
  8. Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.
  9. Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.
  10. Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
  11. Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
  12. Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
  13. Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.


Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Able to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English. •Contract administration experience preferred. •Experience managing projects including quotation through shipment. •Ability to handle non-routine projects and tasks independently within established standards. •Good understanding of business mathematical concepts. •Extensive knowledge of company systems and software.
Physical and Technical Environment
  • Minimal lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally. •Regularly required to walk or stand, bend or twist, climb, reach with hands or arms. •Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend and stoop in a normal office environment. •Normal vision and manual dexterity.
