Role Overview

As an Engineering Program Manager, you will be instrumental in the effective implementation of key projects that are vital to the company's expansion and success. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing and steering projects from initial concept through to launch, ensuring alignment with objectives while achieving financial, scheduling, and quality benchmarks. You will manage significant programs including new product development, cost-saving initiatives, engineering system deployments, and integration of acquisitions. Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering along with a minimum of five years of demonstrated experience in project management, particularly in managing project scope, budget, timelines, and constraints within a manufacturing context.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop comprehensive project timelines, ensuring meticulous planning at every phase to keep projects on track and within budget.
  2. Facilitate effective project planning by defining scope, objectives, and deliverables for assigned initiatives.
  3. Assemble project teams and delegate responsibilities, identifying and resolving resource limitations.
  4. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
  5. Monitor project advancement, proactively addressing challenges that may hinder project success.
  6. Ensure that all projects adhere to quality and performance standards.
  7. Lead the implementation of engineering systems.
  8. Oversee cost reduction initiatives, collaborating closely with engineering to realize savings while tracking and reporting progress.
  9. Manage new product development projects from concept to market introduction, working alongside R&D, engineering, and marketing teams utilizing the stage-gate process.
  10. Coordinate integration efforts for acquired entities, ensuring seamless incorporation into Clark-Reliance.
  11. Maintain clear and open communication with all project stakeholders.
  12. Provide regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and opportunities during reviews.
  13. Adhere to company policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
  14. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a degree in engineering is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in project management, particularly in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective in managing projects using Agile methodologies.
Preferred Experience and Skills
  • Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in a technical B2B manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with key business tools such as INFOR XA, Autodesk, or similar.
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications (PMP) are advantageous.
Physical and Technical Environment
  • Minimal lifting of up to 25 pounds.
    •Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, and stoop in a standard office environment.
    •Capability to navigate multi-floor office and shop areas, including walking, climbing stairs, and using elevators.
