KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in leading company initiatives to facilitate factory-wide, OSHA regulatory compliance and nurture a positive culture of safety within the factory.Perform job safety and hazard analyses of manufacturing operations and equipment and recommend preventative measures and corrective actions.Under strict supervision, assist in the administration of all local, state and federal permitting and reporting (e.g., Form R, Tier II, etc.)Perform safety-related activities such as committee meetings, training, emergency response efforts, maintain documentation, etc.Perform comprehensive incident investigations and follow up on closure of incident reports with guidance/review from manager.Generate periodic reports related to routine safety and environmental matters.Work closely with operations and research groups to identify risks and proactively develop/ implement control methodology for these risks.Provide guidance in anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of health/ safety hazards and related compliance at the site.With manager guidance, monitors and audits site related activities to ensure S&H programs are being adhered to.Advise employees and contractors for compliance with EHS program and training requirements.Partner with safety committee to drive initiatives in manufacturing plants.Live, Act, and Behave by TCF Core ValuesPerforms other duties associated with this position as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Occupation Safety and Health preferred0 - 3 years EH & S experience required.Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferredKnowledge of OSHA regulations and familiarity with Environmental requirementsAble to communicate in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writingAbility to work well with all levels of operations, human resources personnel, maintenance personnel, supervision and management under the direction of the EHS Director to meet objectives.Must be able to successfully work with all levels of operations to achieve facility goals. Work with manufacturing plant management and safety team to achieve desired safety goals.CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND TRAININGThe following certifications and training, if required, will be provided by the company:Industrial Hygiene Sampling proceduresOSHA 30 Hour General Industry CertificationDemonstrated proficiency with MS Word and Excel spreadsheet applications.PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:Standard office environmentAbility to occasionally lift up to 20 poundsAbility to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reachAbility to work extended hours sitting at a computerWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat.The employee may occasionally be exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles, caustic chemicals and vibration.The noise level in the production environment is usually loud.SAFETYTwin City Fan is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy work environment.
