Responsibilities
Develop and execute business development plans tailored to the resource industry's needs, particularly in the chemicals and additives sector.
Identify and evaluate new markets, product lines, and partnerships to expand the company's footprint in the North American market.
Conduct detailed market research to understand industry trends, client needs, and the competitive landscape within the resource industry.
Establish and nurture relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the resource industry, including oil and gas, mining, and other sectors reliant on chemical solutions.
Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring a steady flow of new business opportunities.
Drive sales initiatives to achieve revenue targets and key performance indicators specific to the chemicals and additives market.
Develop and negotiate contracts, ensuring they meet both client needs and company profitability goals.
Qualifications
Must 5+ years of sales experience preferably in the oil & gas, cement, agriculture, paper, or water treatment industries.
Knowledge of chemical industry is helpful, too.
Can come from the drill side and be a rig operator.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree or MBA is advantageous.
Deep understanding of the North American resource industry, including key players, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies.
Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with chemical industry databases and analytics tools.
