Job description
Infosys is seeking a Network Test & Automation Engineer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.
Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of San Jose, CA or be willing to relocate to the area. This position requires to work inside Lab in San Jose.
Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent will consider work experience in lieu of a degree.
2+ years of Network Testing & Automation experience,
Experience working with Routing and Switching technology testing which includes L2 and L3 Protocols
U.S. Citizenship or Visa holder or Permanent Residency required; we are not able to sponsor at this time.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Technical experience directly working with network device Test and Automation.
•Experience working with Routing and Switching technology testing which includes L2 and L3 Protocols
•Deliver test strategies and test plans.
•Develop, review, and deploy automated tests and processes. Apply Software design principles and, Proficient in Coding Standards.
•Design and Develop code primarily using Python, Proficient in Python with applied knowledge of OOP concepts.
•Perform data analysis of Logs, Test Reports and Yield reports.
•Continuously learning and strengthening test automation framework skills in python for relevant technical domain and adjacent technologies.
•Advanced knowledge of software programmability, automation, orchestration, Data Center, networking, and virtualization
•Knowledge of L2 protocols (Network management, traffic management and multicast protocols ) and Monitoring services including Span and NetFlow.
•Any of CCNA/CCNP certifications is a plus.
•Must be able to work independently
The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
