We're seeking a proactive individual who will contribute through design, optimization, and maintenance of our critical power distribution systems, ensuring uninterrupted energy supply to drive our manufacturing operations forward.

**As a Power Distribution Engineer, You Create Chemistry By...**

Designing, developing, and maintaining the power distribution electrical and communication systems for BASF chemical manufacturing facilities.

Conducting power system studies, including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and arc flash studies, to ensure system reliability and compliance with safety standards.

Providing technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams for troubleshooting power system issues and serving as a subject matter expert on power systems engineering, providing training and mentorship to junior engineers as needed.

Reviewing and approving electrical designs and specifications for new projects and modifications through collaboration with internal stakeholders and external contractors to implement system upgrades and expansions.

Developing, implementing, and optimizing preventive maintenance programs for critical power system equipment.

Staying current with industry trends, standards, and best practices related to power systems engineering.

**If you...**

Have a BS Electrical Engineering 7+ years of electrical experience with preference for industrial experience within large petrochemical manufacturing facilities.

Possess a strong understanding and troubleshooting knowledge of power distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protective relaying up to 138kV.

Are proficient in power system analysis software such as ETAP or SKM PowerTools.

Have knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NEC, ANSI, etc).

Are familiar with programming and communication of SCADA systems.

Have knowledge and familiarity with programming of SEL and GE relays.
