  • In-depth knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to power distribution systems, including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protective relaying
  • Extensive experience in medium and high voltage power maintenance and reliability (2.3KV-238KV), aimed at establishing and enhancing standardized work processes and standards
  • Proficient in power system analysis software such as ETAP or SKM PowerTools
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NEC, ANSI)
  • Understanding of SCADA systems programming and communication
  • Experience with programming SEL and GE relays
  • Ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with site partners, including engineers, maintenance and operations personnel, procurement, and site leadership

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Electrical Power Systems Manager to oversee the Power Distribution Department. This role involves executing and refining management systems to ensure the safe and efficient planning and execution of high voltage operations. The manager will play a critical role in developing long-term power systems strategies, collaborating with various on-site partners, and engaging with the broader electrical community.

The successful candidate will manage Power Distribution Technicians and on-site contractors, providing essential technical support. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with engineers, maintenance teams, procurement, and site leadership. Additionally, the manager will analyze site-wide data, evaluate trends, and recommend improvements to equipment strategies or maintenance programs for ongoing enhancement.

Utilizing expertise in electrical systems to support capital project development and execution is crucial, as is the ability to balance priorities across multiple operations while maintaining a focus on reliability processes such as Bad Actors, Root Cause Failure Analysis, and FMEA. The manager will ensure adherence to these processes and sustain technical capabilities through training and succession planning.
