Data Architect Engineer - Hybrid (2 days remote, 3 days on site)

Scope of Work:
  • Participate in all aspects of DW and ETL process design, creation, and specification.
  • Provide services in coordination with technical, functional, and management representatives.
  • Develop source data models to DW logical designs and ERDs.
  • Understand MDEC data and star schema models.
  • Create logical warehouse data designs.
  • Design and outline ETL processes, and provide system architecture for data pipelines.
  • Document system requirements and manage development.
  • Assist in developing and implementing ETL tools.
  • Conduct testing of ETL tools and data pipelines.
  • Develop effective DW models based on analytic, reporting, and bulk data requirements.
  • Collaborate on DW physical designs and ensure data warehouse architecture development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for sensitive data protection.
  • Provide weekly progress, status, and time reports, and any additional reports as assigned.
Skills, Experience, & Capabilities:
  • Database and analytical skills, ability to query source data.
  • Knowledge and experience with ETL tools, Visual Studio, XML, SQL, and scripting languages like Python.
  • Strong analytical, consultative, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work productively with peers, end users, vendor development staff, and all management levels.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and mentoring abilities.
  • Experience with BI best practices, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, data warehouse, and reporting techniques.
  • Proficiency in dimensional modeling, STAR schema design, Snowflake schema design, and designing BI solutions.
  • Advanced experience with SQL Server, Azure data factory, SSIS, and RDBMS.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
