Howard University Hospital seeks to hire a Patient Experience Business Partner who will embrace our rich and historic tradition of excellence. Under general supervision, the Patient Experience Business Partner is responsible for leading the deployment, learning and integration efforts of the HUH system-wide patient experience approach, called Bridging the GAP, at the entity.

The Patient Experience Business Partner will:
  • Develop relationships with entity executives, directors, managers, and front-line staff
  • Round on patients and help the staff problem-solve systemic opportunities for improvement
  • Teach, train, communicate, and coach on the HUH approach to patient experience
  • Utilize design thinking to solve unique patient experience complaints at the specific entity
  • Deploy data collection and other patient feedback mechanisms
  • Partner with other HUH/AHC entities to learn best practices
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are related and appropriate to the position and area. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all-inclusive
Qualified candidates will possess:
  • Bachelors required. Master's in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • 5 years health care leadership experience
  • 1-5 years management experience
  • Public speaking experience
