Job Summary: The Center of Population Health Accountability (CPHA) is founded on a bold strategic vision to provide integrated "whole-person" physical and behavioral health services, including partnerships to address the social determinants of health (poverty, housing, transportation, food insecurity, etc.) that affect a person's health and well-being. Wayne Health is a non-profit, multi-specialty academic group practice with nearly 400 dedicated physicians and advanced practice providers in 50 medical specialties offering a full spectrum of care, from birth to end-of-life, for individuals and families throughout southeastern Michigan.

The Mobile Health Unit (MHU)Vaccine Coordinator will provides professional care to patients following established departmental policies and procedures, in addition to assisting the Vaccine Manager with vaccine inventory and MCIR assistance.

Job Description:

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Implements, oversees, and updates the Mobile Health Unit vaccine inventory with oversight from the Vaccine Manager. Assists with administrative MCIR duties as assigned to ensure MHU complies with state and federal governmental and accreditation policies and procedures; including internal audits. Runs daily MCIR HL7 reports and corrects errors. Analyzes data to anticipate future vaccine inventory needs. Provides monthly reports on the amount of vaccine inventory used for Mobile Health vaccine administration in coordination with the Vaccine Manager. Performs internal audits in EHR to ensure MHU clinical and non-clinical staff are following department protocols and procedures. Intervene with staff education when needed. Attends weekly in-person Vaccination Coordination Meetings with the Vaccine Manager and other staff as necessary, as well as any meetings required for vaccination communication. Stay up to date on vaccine information in compliance with the CDC, MDHHS, and ACIP and relay any updates to staff/leadership. Checks and maintains temperature logs, and records daily AM & PM temperatures for office medication refrigerators and freezers. Downloads and backups data logger data weekly and maintains the reports. Provides Site Contacts and leadership with daily vaccine numbers at each given site. Assists with training/competencies for employees. Performs diagnostic testing on MHU as needed, including retinal imaging. Performs general patient service representative duties, including patient intake and registration in HER, both prior to events and on vaccination sites. Performs revenue cycle tasks, including patient running insurance eligibility prior to and on vaccination sites. Maintains the emergency medicine kits, including ordering and replacing expiring medications. Maintains a safe, clean environment and organized environment. Other duties as assigned to fill the needs of the department.

Education, Licensure/Certification, and Training Required for the Job: High school degree or GED. Experience in Mobile Health Unit preferred. 1-2 years of experience with accreditation as a Medical Assistant or LPN preferred. Vaccine/MCIR experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities Required: Good written and verbal communication skills to convey and receive information effectively Good analytical and judgement skills Ability to use computer and software programs and systems Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients, personnel and /or financial data Progressive inventory experience preferably in a health care environment Outstanding organizational skills including strong planning skills with ability to prioritize and plan work activities Ability to adapt to working in outdoor elements, rain, snow, heat, in compliance with the departments Weather Policy. Flexibility to adapting to ongoing updates and changes with job duties, requirements, and tasks. Ability to frequently lift and move Mobile Health Unit equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.

Safety Requirements: Compliance with Department Health and Safety policies and procedures

Working Conditions/Schedules: 40-hour workweek, Saturday required. Hours and days to be determined by the business. Additional hours may be required. On site and in office.
