The Senior Mechanical Plant Engineer is responsible to define, organize, plan, and execute all small capital investment projects to be cost effective, timely, and safely utilize state of the art engineering concepts. The incumbent has to ensure all activities in assigned area are in accordance with accepted engineering practices, regulations, cGMP and standards. This position provides technical expertise to maintain and continuously improve assigned areas in order to minimize costs and to ensure technical means for safe and high-quality operation. The Senior Mechanical Plant Engineer is expected to be project responsible on small to medium size capital projects and could also be tasked with providing input to new product estimates.
Hard Skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in plant engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience troubleshooting/installing HVAC, manufacturing equipment, plant utilities
  • Experience with building management programs for Building, EHS, Labs, Production
Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Lafayette, Indiana.
Work Environment

Will be working onsite 9am-5pm, will have an office for meetings and documentation. Majority of the time will be spent on the site floor working with project teams.
