Job Title: Senior Mechanical Plant Engineer

Join Evonik Industries, a leading global specialty chemicals company, as a Senior Mechanical Plant Engineer. This role is responsible for defining, organizing, planning, and executing small capital investment projects to ensure cost-effectiveness, timely completion, and safe utilization of state-of-the-art engineering concepts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all activities in assigned areas are in accordance with accepted engineering practices, regulations, cGMP, and Evonik Corporation policies and standards.
  • Provide technical expertise to maintain and continuously improve assigned areas to minimize costs and ensure technical means for safe and high-quality operation.
  • Manage small capital and technical change projects from conception to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to address plant engineering issues and achieve operational goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Chemical or Pharmaceutical Industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, with a proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects.
  • Capable of managing a budget greater than or equal to $2.5M-$3M/yr.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards and procedures.
