Hours of Work :Days Of Week :Work Shift :8X5 Day (United States of America)Job Description :Your Job:The Manager of Pharmacy professional responsible for the supervision of pharmacy operations including the activities of pharmacists and supportive personnel. Supports and promotes the vision, mission, and strategic plans of Methodist Health System.Your Job Requirements:•Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.•2 years of Hospital Pharmacy experienced desired.•Licensed as a registered pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy•Certified as a pharmacist preceptor by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy•Prefer 3 to 5 years in a healthcare setting•Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office products •Strong oral and written communication skills •Ability to provide vision and leadership •Ability to plan and schedule the work of others Your Job Responsibilities: •Secures and maintains all pharmacy related state licensure including but not limited to Texas State Board of Pharmacy and DEA.•Sets up and oversees our antimicrobial stewardship program and building our foundation of a clinical pharmacy services at the campus.•Provides leadership and accountability for setup, management and optimization of both purchasing and inventory management for the campus.•Assists in planning, evaluation, and implementation of progressive pharmacy programs for the hospital/health system and assists in establishing, writing, implementing, and enforcing guidelines of the pharmacy department and Methodist Health System•Coordinates and communicates staffing and training schedule for pharmacists as well as support personnel if needed. Schedule, time off requests, and schedule change requests are processed in a timely manner.•Completes and communicates annual and ongoing evaluations to pharmacists and other personnel.•Supervises and supports pharmacy personnel. Provides assistance to pharmacists and supportive personnel with problems related to patient care and their assigned duties.•Assumes duties of a staff pharmacist whenever necessary•Assumes responsibility for the pharmacy in the absence of the director•Oversees drug inventory control. Ensures proper handling, storage, and security of medications. •Establishes appropriate control, tracking, and auditing of narcotics•Communicate clearly and openly•Build relationships to promote a collaborative environment•Be accountable for your performance•Always look for ways to improve the patient experience•Take initiative for your professional growth•Be engaged and eager to build a winning teamMethodist Celina Medical Center is located on a 40+ acre campus just off of Dallas Parkway, and will serve as the community's first full-service hospital, serving Celina and surrounding communities. The four-story medical center will open with 51 beds, with plans for expansion, and will feature a range of services including cardiology, women's services, orthopedics, robotic surgery, and more. The campus will also include a 40,000-square-foot medical office building.The $237 million facility will be one of Celina's largest employers in the fastest growing city in the country.
