Role
We are looking for a dynamic Tax Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this person will play a critical role in managing our tax operations and ensuring compliance across our global jurisdictions, with a starting focus on the USA. This person will be the first dedicated professional for the internal tax function.
Responsibilities
- Manage all global tax filings and own jurisdiction nexus studies with external advisors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Assist with tax audits, inquiries, and notices, responding to requests and negotiating settlements with tax authorities.
- Develop and manage transfer pricing policies, and assess and manage tax risks in business operations.
- Serve as the primary contact for external tax advisors and supporting internal compliance.
- Identify and scope new tax requirements on expansion and product launch initiatives, serving as the internal point of contact for growth and product teams.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA license or equivalent required.
- Experience: 5+ years in global/US/corporate tax; Big 4 and industry experience required.
- Technical Skills: Background knowledge on general tax concepts, research skills, and experience with tax software/ERP systems and owning tax compliance, managing third-party advisors, and identifying new reporting requirements.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and strong analytical skills.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Global Taxation: Experience with US and international tax issues and compliance.
- Payments Industry: Prior experience in fintech, specifically global payments.
