Essential Job Functions

  • Transcribes dictation for the Litigation Specialist and Property Specialist. This includes typing letters, completing forms, and proofreading documents to correct grammar and punctuation prior to mailing. These duties may also be to assist Claim Reps. and Adjusters.
  • Corresponds with attorneys on behalf of Litigation Specialists, including sending claim material via secured email
  • Completes the daily Check Reconciliation List
  • Creates templates for new MS Word documents used in the claim department
  • Sends Overnight Mail
  • Enters statistical information claim software, including urgent lawsuits.
  • Complies material to be sent to attorneys for lawsuits on Litigation, Subrogation and Workers Compensation claim files.
  • Ability to navigate both Imageright and Guidewire systems.
  • Receives and Submits Department of Insurance Complaints in a timely, professional manner.
  • Performs and excels in all Claim Support Associate job functions.
  • Ability to field complicated questions from the Claim Support Staff and Claim Handling Staff.
  • Trains new and existing P&C Claim staff on Claim Associate and Claim Specialist job duties
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What You'll Need:

Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience
  • Experience training others preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Strong ability to multi-task, including analyzing, organizing & prioritizing work while meeting all deadlines
  • Ability to proofread and work for accuracy.
  • Advanced knowledge of office procedures, including ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, and reports
  • Previous customer experience and the ability to communicate clearly and professional with all callers.
  • Ability to work as a team member and leader, follow directions and be a mentor to other support staff.
