What You Do

Perform software system design for backend systems, development, maintenance, and reporting with a focus on teamwork, inclusion, and Kaizen (continuous improvement).

What You Do
  • Establish strong team member relations at all levels, and provide support for people development, coaching, and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion
  • Work closely with advisors from Mazda and Toyota
  • Identify and mine reliable internal and external data sources.
  • Utilize Agile (Scrum) framework and lead development of system solutions to improve software development.
  • Write high quality code in Python (with Numpy, Scipy, Pytorch Scrapy, pandas, and Django packages/Frameworks) to build data applications and perform predictive analysis
  • Establish API connections for back-end data systems
  • Develop and Perform app/software testing
  • Use mathematical and programming skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data.
  • Develop Software using Object Oriented Programming principles to build efficient, reusable code repository
  • Design and develop custom tools to optimize data mining, cleaning, validation, and analysis tasks.
  • Use Object Oriented Programming principles to help develop efficient, reusable code Repository
  • Migrate data from source systems to target systems using ETL (extract transform and load).
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand Data/Application needs
  • Identify and establish API Connections for internal/external backend data systems
  • Be available to work outside of normal work schedule, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)
What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to persevere when faced with data problems and provide countermeasures.
What Will Set You Apart
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from ABET accredited institution
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Competency in Machine Learning Model/Algorithm Design and analysis
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Python, Java, and Java Script
  • Proficiency in Statistical concepts such as Multi-linear Regression models
  • Proficiency in Python Pandas, NumPy, SciPy and PyTorch
  • Proficiency in SQL Database Design and implementation
