Summary

The Lead Housekeeper is responsible for supervising the housekeeping staff and assisting the Housekeeping Director.

A criminal background check is required.
Essential Duties

  • Supervise housekeeping staff.
  • Establish work schedules to include days worked and time off (e.g., vacation, holiday, sick, etc.).
  • Remove trash in bathrooms and residents' rooms.
  • Clean bathroom sink, toilet, mirror and replace paper towels and soap.
  • Dust nightstands over bed lights and under the beds.
  • Clean chairs and rockers.
  • Clean shower room, walls and tub.
  • Wash scrub room beds and clean room.
  • Clean elevator walls.
  • Remove cigarette butts and trash in front of the building.
  • Dust mop, wash, scrub and buff hallway floors.
  • Dust mop offices.
  • Remove trash.
  • Clean dining rooms.
  • Set up rooms for department meetings and other events.
  • Perform other duties, tasks and special projects, as required.
Qualifications/Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Six months to one year of job-related experience and/or training.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of infection control.
  • Chemical training.
  • General understanding of state regulations.
  • Accurate and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to coordinate and direct work assignments.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgement.

  • One year of experience in a housekeeping department.
