Day Shift / 40hrs/wk


The Lead Housekeeper is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Environmental Services Department. Assists in the supervision of projects in the facility and coordinates projects and

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assists housekeeping supervisor and performs supervisory functions in the absence of the supervisor

2. Schedules cleaning (staff and outside vendors) for apartments, guest units, common areas to assure a safe and clean environment for residents and staff.

3. Supervises shift responsibilities and ensure staff compliance for policies relative to the beginning and end of each shift.

4. Coordinates annual cleanings with Housekeeping Supervisor.

5. Conducts inventories of all housekeeping supplies, and places monthly orders for all housekeeping supplies.

6. Assists in preparation of department budget and assists in operating Department within budget guidelines.

7. Performs regular housekeeping duties as directed and serves as substitute for staff absences due to illness, vacations, etc.

8. Monitors compliance with all safety and sanitation standards.

9. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.

10. Interacts with residents in a respectful and reassuring manner in resolution of complaints and/or concerns.

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High School education required. Special courses in housekeeping or institutional management

are desirable.

Good oral and written communication skills are essential

Experience: Previous experience preferred
