We are seeking an individual that takes pride in delivering excellence in serving others, especially our elderly population.
Position Summary:
The Receptionist manages the fast-paced, busy lobby and reception area. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and directing all visitors, including vendors, residents, and resident family members. The Receptionist must ensure compliance with building security and adhere to the sign-in and sign-out procedures. The Receptionist will be responsible for answering the telephone and connecting callers with the appropriate department or resource. The Receptionist will handle administrative tasks, organize incoming mail and packages, assist residents and families with scheduling appointments, mass mailings and accept company deliveries. The Receptionist respects resident rights and maintains resident and staff confidentiality. The Receptionist demonstrates a neat professional appearance and is courteous and supportive to all who approach the desk.
Duties:
- Answers and screens all incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Gives basic facility information such as brochures and informational packets to persons requesting such materials. Forwards inquiries regarding admission to the Director of Community Relations or Executive Director.
- Greets all visitors in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
- Performs other administrative duties, such as mailings, scheduling internal appointments (hair salon), organizing newspapers and packages for delivery
- Is constantly aware of resident safety issues and advises appropriate staff when something doesn't seem right.
- Has read and understands all emergency procedures, policies and protocols of the facility and will follow such should the need arise.
- Must possess a high degree of communication and customer service skills. Must use good judgment and take initiative when necessary.
- Must have knowledge of office computer software.
- Strong organizational skills to support management team administratively as needed.
- Part-time: day shifts available 7am-3pm (M,W,Th), 7am-1pm (Fr). Weekend shifts available 7am-2pm or 2pm-7pm
