  • Change Management and Documentation: Facilitate change management processes and maintain sustainment documentation including engineering drawings, manuals, troubleshooting guides, process flow diagrams, and spare parts lists.
  • Electrical Design and Collaboration: Develop electrical and control layouts, update and create electrical drawings using CAD or similar software. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams comprising Engineers, Operations, and Maintenance personnel to address departmental requirements.
  • Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to controls and other plant personnel, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.
  • Systems Optimization and Reliability: Enhance current manufacturing systems and bolster the reliability of electrical and control systems on machinery exposed to abrasive materials.
  • Stay Informed on Technology: Stay abreast of emerging capabilities and technologies related to controls, drives, and web handling. Lead the integration and adoption of new technologies where applicable.
  • Adaptability and Project Management: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment, implementing solutions promptly and effectively. Assume the role of project manager for the installation of improvement projects, including writing project specifications and coordinating with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution (Preferably in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or Controls Engineering) with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
  • Proficiency in PLC code development.
  • Experience with motion control systems, preferably utilizing Siemens VFDs and Servos.
  • Strong background in electrical distribution troubleshooting and design, with a solid understanding of NEC regulations.
  • HMI programming experience, preferably with Aveva.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office suites.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present work to plant management, peers, and maintenance/operations personnel.
  • Apply mathematical, statistical, and engineering principles to resolve recurring process issues.
  • Self-directed individual capable of prioritizing workload and resources to optimize production processes effectively.
