We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced technical Training Specialist. The Training Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of our team of system administrators in all areas related to the resiliency effort and system monitoring. The Training Specialist will have strong technical expertise, training proficiency and excellent communication skills. As well as strong knowledge and expertise in various IT domains, including but not limited to software applications, hardware, networks, cybersecurity, databases, and cloud computing, as well as Kibana, Grafana, Jira, METRICS, and Confluence. Should excel in JQS style training and be able to facilitate effective new employee onboarding

Position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs and materials to meet the organization's IT training needs.
  • Deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars on various IT topics to employees at different levels within the organization.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and develop appropriate training solutions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather and validate training content and materials.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and support to employees who require additional assistance or guidance in IT-related areas.
  • Develop and maintain training documentation, manuals, and online resources for easy reference and self-guided learning.
Position Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in various IT domains, including but not limited to software applications, hardware, networks, cybersecurity, databases, and cloud computing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Understanding strategies, frameworks, and practices such as teaching mission impact assessment tools and analytics
  • Familiar with and able to teach IT service management fundamentals, and explain monitoring tools with alerts and threshold management
  • Experience with designing and delivering both in-person and online training programs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a focus on finding innovative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Ability to adapt training approaches to cater to different learning styles and skill levels.
  • Familiarity with training evaluation methods and tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Proficiency in using training software and tools, such as learning management systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools, and multimedia software as well as knowledge database use
  • Familiarity with Open Telemetry for future monitoring and metrics collection is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all training materials and documentation.


Qualifications:

Five (5) years of experience as a Training Specialist in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Four (4) years of Training work experience may be substituted for a relevant Master's Degree. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
