Job Description:
HCM Payroll/T&L Techno functional with Kronos experience. The goal is to backfill, augment, and support the existing UT Tyler resources.
This position will fill a gap in expertise needed to standardize, streamline, and simplify Kronos data in preparation for integration with PS UT Share.
SUMMARY
Facilitates and supports the discovery, design, and build phases of applications used in the Time & Attendance processes with specific expertise in time collection using Kronos Pro Workforce Management (formerly Dimensions) and PeopleSoft Payroll, Time & Labor, Absence Management. Augments current subject matter experts for improving the Kronos software product functions and data. Core activities will include gathering and defining requirements, gap analysis, design, implementation of improvements, application testing and end user support.
Job Responsibilities:
Designs and implements changes needed to standardize, streamline, and enhance the Kronos system and data. Consults with subject matter experts and functional users to understand and document their business processes and requirements, including integration with PeopleSoft 9.2. Perform gap analysis to determine current Kronos suite's system configuration and changes required to standardize and improve. Research best practices for standardizing and streamlining process(es) supported by the system and data. Makes recommendations for improvements; oversees the specifications, development, and implementation of optimized business process systems, reports, and procedures for module users to ensure efficient business processes.
Create business requirements documents, system configuration documents, detailed functional design documents, test plans and test cases, user training documents and implementation documentation as necessary.
Work with development teams, both vendor and internal to design and implement system modifications and upgrades. Develops resources for continuity and maintenance of the system.
Work with functional users, developers and Kronos Support to research, document and resolve Oracle system issues.
Build and modify data views. Develop reports and/or queries, as needed.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of two years' experience working with Time and Attendance or Payroll systems. Kronos and/or Peoplesoft experience preferred.
A strong functional knowledge of Kronos application suite. Knowledge of the Kronos Data Extraction Tool is preferred.
Experience supporting or working with timekeeping or payroll systems with a Texas state agency or institution of higher education preferred. Strong technical knowledge of the underlying tables, integration points and technology processes.
Experience with supporting timeclocks.
Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively organize and communicate across functional and technical lines.
Root cause analysis and complex problem-solving skills.
