We are currently seeking a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team. You should be highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Objectives of this Role Independently prioritizing and executing daily collections. Monitors past due accounts, maintains collection notes and appropriate follow up. Responsible for placement of delinquent accounts with outside collection agencies. Interacts and reconciles with collection agencies. Communicate with management team and identify slow paying customers. Focusing on earlier identification of “at risk” accounts prior to the start of the collection process. Strengthen and grow relationships with clients. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities Contacts delinquent accounts by phone and email; takes appropriate action to bring current. Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date. Backup for daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, ACH and credit card payments and posting to the accounts receivable sub-ledger. Conducts outreach in a courteous and professional manner all the while being consistent and firm. Works closely with Company Billing Coordinators and Service Department Skills and Qualifications Two to Five years of similar or related experience. High school diploma or equivalent. A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Understanding basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping Superb time management and detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google drive.
