You are a change agent RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, implement, analyze, and drive accountability of the Vulcan Baltimore location’s EHS initiatives and programs. Liaise as required with the Corporate EHS Team to ensure consistency with Enterprise initiatives and policies. Foster an environment that encourages superior Safety Awareness and Environmental Stewardship through the implementation and support of safety & environmental management processes. Collaborate with site Engineering & Operations teams in proactive identification and reduction of EHS risk. Investigate any safety incidents, provide root cause analysis, and set plans to address improvement opportunities. Lead and refine the safety committee, safety audit process, reporting, and develop action items to drive improved safety culture. Develop and lead factory safety trainings. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years’ experience in Safety/Quality processes. Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the clear and concise transfer of information with all levels of employees, both internally and externally. Ability to identify, define, analyze, and prioritize opportunities and problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and solve problems efficiently. Capacity to maintain a level of confidentiality required. Computer literacy and organization skills. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently/independently with minimal supervision.
