Position Summary:
As an EHS Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives. This position is essential in fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and monitor EHS programs at the designated facility, ensuring alignment with corporate standards.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility through effective management processes.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to proactively identify and mitigate EHS risks.
- Conduct thorough investigations of safety incidents, providing root cause analysis and developing actionable improvement plans.
- Lead the safety committee and enhance safety audit processes to strengthen our safety culture.
- Facilitate and deliver comprehensive safety training sessions for employees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Safety and Quality processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills to identify, assess, and prioritize opportunities and challenges effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficient in computer applications and possess strong organizational skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to perform tasks that require bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting.
- Compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements is mandatory.
Work Environment:
This role involves a combination of working on the industrial plant floor and in an office setting.
