Portfolio Manager, Direct Indexing

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager with a focus on Direct Indexing. This role involves managing taxable investment portfolios that replicate specific indices, using a passive strategy tailored to the individual needs of high-net-worth clients. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of multi-factor models, portfolio optimizers, and advanced financial tools such as Axioma, BARRA, and Northfield. The role also offers the opportunity to work with digital currencies, enhancing the firm's capabilities in this rapidly evolving asset class.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Management: Manage and optimize direct indexing portfolios, ensuring they meet performance objectives while adhering to client guidelines and regulatory standards. This includes managing exposure to various asset classes, including digital currencies.
- Indexing & Reconstitutions: Implement reconstitutions and rebalancing strategies in alignment with index changes, taking into account trading costs, tax implications, and market impact.
- Modeling & Analytics: Utilize multi-factor risk models and portfolio optimizers, including Axioma, BARRA, and Northfield, to manage portfolio dispersion and ensure alignment with client investment objectives.
- Enhancements & Process Improvement: Proactively contribute to the development of portfolio management processes and technology enhancements, including the integration of Python and other advanced programming tools for portfolio analysis and management.
- Collaboration: Liaise with sub-advisors and internal teams, including Trading, Operations, and Research, to ensure seamless portfolio management and continuous improvement in investment strategies.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in portfolio management, with a focus on direct indexing and taxable investment strategies. Experience with digital currency portfolios is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in portfolio optimizers and financial tools such as Axioma, BARRA, and Northfield. Strong skills in Python for portfolio analysis and process automation.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications such as CFA are preferred.
- Competencies: Strong understanding of passive investment strategies, portfolio reconstitutions, and managing dispersion within portfolios. Ability to drive enhancements in portfolio management processes.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with sub-advisors and cross-functional teams.
