Responsible for producer and claims adjuster licensing activities for Berkshire Hathaway Direct Insurance Company and various affiliated agencies including continuing education and database management. Responsible for setup, appointment, affiliation and maintenance of producers, and adjusters.

This is a hybrid position with two remote days per week.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares new and renewal producer license applications and other documents for completeness and accuracy in accordance with state insurance department requirements.
  • Support internal claims adjuster licensing and license maintenance.
  • Provides administrative in office administrative support such as mail distribution, preparing and sending overnight packages, receiving and reviewing documents and other administrative duties.
  • Performs related duties as each situation dictates such as participating in special projects and processing subscription renewals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proofreading
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

  • Read/comprehend insurance department directives and bulletins
  • Read/comprehend/document and carry out written and verbal instructions
  • Review records for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to guidelines

Preferred Knowledge

This is an entry level role.
  • 1 to 2 years' work experience (licensing experience not required)
  • Insurance industry experience preferred
  • State laws and regulations on license and appointment requirements
  • Insurance and legal terminology

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided. The starting salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
