The Product & Data Specialist, AD Member Supply, will be responsible for supporting AD member distributors and supplier partners in our member-owned and governed redistribution business.
The individual will be responsible for the performance of this segment of AD’s value-added service offering to its members and suppliers across multiple divisions including Electrical Division – US, Industrial & Safety Divisions – US, Bearings & Power Transmission – US, and Safety Network. Additional expansion opportunities exist across AD.
The candidate will work closely with AD Member Supply’s Product & Data Manager, and 3rd party private, online marketplace service provider.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure accuracy of data in AD Member Supply’s ERP system (Prophet 21) and the member web portal AD Marketplace.
Support the addition of new suppliers to AD Member Supply by ensuring proper set-up and administration of suppliers in all systems.
Manage supplier price files and product data for new and existing suppliers including price adjustments, new products, product line expansions, and modified products. Manage member pricing in Prophet 21 and AD Marketplace.
Analyze data for accuracy, variations, and pricing improvement opportunities.
Analyze cost increase opportunity buys through the pricing process to identify margin improvement opportunities.
Implement pricing and margin metrics to support the health of the business.
Liaison between procurement, content, member services, inventory control, and eCommerce for all product content, pricing, and data.
Assist with member product returns.
Field member and supplier requests for support on AD Marketplace.
Collaborate with fellow AD associates on process improvement opportunities.
Proactively advocate and problem solve for members and suppliers to facilitate, protect, and grow successful business relationships.
Help to implement processes and procedures that help to increase member purchases from AD supplier partners.
Work with AD Member Supply’s Marketing Manager to ensure the awareness and the successful adoption of AD Member Supply’s value-added services and programs that help members and supplier partners grow their businesses, reduce their costs, and increase their satisfaction with the company.
Work with AD eCommerce team in the onboarding of new suppliers and data collection to support P21, Marketplace and eContent programs.
Requirements

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or related field preferred. Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education.
A minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
Experience in managing cost, price and product data is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Fluency in both written and spoken English.
Additional Comments:
Hours of operation: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Travel: No regular travel anticipated.
