The Business Operations Analyst (Supply Chain/Logistics) will be responsible for the maintenance of ongoing reporting for internal and external customers, creation of new analytic methods and reporting, detailed analysis relating to prospective and existing customers, as well as internal company data and ad hoc projects. This position will work with executive leadership and an additional analyst peer to accomplish all analysis functions of our organization. The role is in-office, located in Frisco, Texas.

NT Logistics, Inc., a privately held transportation management and logistics service company headquartered in Frisco, Texas, provides its national customer base with a full array of transportation and integrated logistics services. As a non-asset-based third-party logistics provider (3PL), the company acts as an intermediary for manufacturers and shippers to distribute products. NT Logistics offers a wealth of business arranged transportation solutions that reduce costs, add value to the supply chain and improve performance. Founded in July 1999, the company has additional offices in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Michigan.

Responsibilities:

Collect and analyze data in order to supply optimal time, cost and logistics networks for implementation.

Use statistical analysis, simulations, predictive modeling to analyze logistics information and develop practical solutions for more cost-effective operations.

Develop and analyze and develop reports that provide best practices on how to allocate resources, establish schedules, manage the supply chain and set prices.

Retrieve, clean, and analyze data to present meaningful and actionable information, create reports and propose business solutions to clients and upper management.

Create reports for each operating division within the company to track order volume, revenue, transportation costs and profit margins for each division to evaluate current performance, plan for future activities and adjust costs accordingly.

Identify problems, consult end users to better understand the problem, assemble relevant data and explain findings and recommendations to the operations staff and upper management.

Produce PowerBI reports to help clients track their order quantity and different cost metrics, which can also be used as a basis for future pricing.

Create reports outlining different cost-saving options such as conversion to multi-stop truckloads, a cross-dock distribution model and consolidation of LTL loads.

Prepare and maintain several client-centric dashboards and business reports on a weekly basis using customized SQL scripts to extract, manipulate and load (ETL) data from the transportation management system (TMS) database to a secure Azure database.

Build customized PowerBI dashboards for clients that utilize the Azure database and are embedded on a web-accessible portal for clients to access upon demand.

Revise logistics data reports based on client requirements and feedback gathered during monthly or quarterly reviews.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in in Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, or related fields.

Candidate must be highly analytics and organized, with a very high attention to detail.

Professional PowerBI or Tableau, and Excel experience, required.

Advanced degree in related fields, preferred.

3-5 years of experience, preferred.

Transportation, Supply Chain or Logistics Industry experience, highly preferred.

Knowledge of SQL, VBA or other programming tools, preferred.

Knowledge of database management, and services such as Microsoft Azure, preferred.

Skills/Attributes:

Commitment and engagement through high level of work ethic.

Demonstrates flexibility, and adaptability.
