The Account Director will be responsible for managing andgrowing client accounts, providing strategic guidance to the account team, andensuring the delivery of exceptional work that meets and exceeds clientexpectations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of buildingstrong client partnerships, leading high-performing teams, and navigatingcomplex client dynamics. As a leader within the agency, the Account Directorwill foster a culture of excellence, mentoring and developing junior teammembers while collaborating closely with the Group Account Director (GAD) andother department leads. The Account Director will be adept at understandingclients' businesses, identifying growth opportunities, and developing strategicsolutions that drive measurable results. The Account Director will be comfortable havingdifficult conversations with clients when necessary, demonstrating a balance ofdiplomacy, assertiveness, and problem-solving skills. They will be able tonavigate challenging situations, maintain composure under pressure, and findcreative solutions that align with both client and agency goals.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary leader and point of accountability for assigned client accounts, ensuring the delivery of exceptional work.Foster a culture of collaboration and cross-functional teamwork, ensuring the account team works seamlessly with other departmentsContinuously monitor and analyze account performance, providing regular reports and insights to clients and internal stakeholdersServe as an escalation point for client issues or concerns, working proactively to resolve challenges and maintain client satisfactionDrive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging the account team to push creative boundaries and explore new ideasDevelop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with senior-level clients, serving as a strategic partner and advisorIdentify and pursue organic growth opportunities within existing client accounts, proactively presenting ideas and solutions that expand the scope of workMentor, coach, and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growthDemonstrate exceptional communication and presentation skills, effectively articulating complex ideas and strategies to both internal and external stakeholdersProactively identify and address potential client concerns or challenges, taking a solutions-oriented approach to problem-solvingStay current with industry trends, consumer insights, and emerging technologies, leveraging this knowledge to inform strategy and drive innovationMinimum of 8-10 years of experience in account management, with a proven track record of leading successful client engagementsDeep understanding of integrated marketing communications, with experience across multiple channels and disciplinesExceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teamsStrong strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to analyze complex business challenges and develop innovative solutionsExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas effectively to both internal and external audiencesProven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, with a focus on partnership and long-term successExperience managing large-scale, complex projects from concept through executionComfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesStrong business acumen, with the ability to understand financial drivers and make data-driven decisionsBachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
