The salary range for this role is:

$20.86 - $33.32

Responsibilities:

  • Handles the leave administration process from the employee's initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work. This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.
  • Under the direction of Human Resources Management, communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave and/or modified work schedules.
  • Provide employees with required timely notice, calculate, and process all applicable paid leave for hourly employees, and communicate with employees regarding their needs for leave and/or accommodations.
  • Assist with overseeing the return-to-work process for employees returning from leave. Facilitates other leave requests, which may include accommodation requests under applicable law.
  • Maintains reasonable communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return to work; relays communication between employees and their managers as required.
  • Maintains complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices.
  • Assist with CBA and Regulatory compliance programs and processes, as assigned, to fully meet contractual and statutory requirements. Includes employee regular service status tracking, employee rate of pay tracking, and continuity of service tracking and reporting.
  • Supports Company's Pandemic Response program. Serve as the primary point-of-contact for program questions and timely completion of contact tracing, employee tracking, supplemental pay, and quarantine and isolation policy inquiries.
  • Administers other company time-off programs as assigned in accordance with internal policy and applicable laws.
  • Supports the administration of Company's Attendance Control Programs and collaborates within Department to ensure proper tracking and payment of CBA and Company paid time off programs.
  • Other duties as required to meet business needs and objectives of the Human Resources Department.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree preferred; Human Resources focus preferred
  • 3-5 years of comparable HR administrative background or related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by state and federal applicable laws.
  • Strong proficiency in HR Management & Timekeeping Systems preferred, i.e., Workday, PeopleSoft, ADP Vantage, etc.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for working with a range of backgrounds and interests.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and be self-directed.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative within general company guidelines.
  • High degree of collaboration within team.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • High level of professionalism in dealing with management, hiring managers, vendors.
  • High energy and passionate about Food Manufacturing.
  • Strong organizational skills with good time management.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize key projects
