Position Summary:The primary function of the Loan Operations Assistant is to support the daily operations of the Lending Department including maintaining loan files, answering incoming phone calls, and processing incoming mail in a timely manner. The person in this role will be required to assist with various loan department tasks such as paid loan processing, ordering various searches, flood insurance reviews, and real estate property tax monitoring. The Loan Operations Assistant must be a self-starter and demonstrate a "can do" and "how can I help" attitude.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:· Respond to support requests from bank personnel and customers.· Maintain existing loan files including filing and/or scanning loan documents.· Receive, file, and scan all loan documents and related items from off-site offices.· Answer incoming customer phone calls directed to Loan Administration.Process incoming and returned mail.Tracking and updating insurances and collateral records in the Bank's core system.· Assist with gathering materials and loan files for audits.· Prepare loan payoff letters and loan advance requests.· Assist with flood insurance reviews and real estate property tax monitoring.· Assist with paid loans processing.· Assist with search orders.· Assist with archiving paid loan files.· Other duties as assigned.Qualifications Required:An employee at the level of a Loan Operations Assistant must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily.
