Role Overview:
The Operations Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in steering process enhancement initiatives that drive excellence throughout the entire value chain. This position is accountable for orchestrating and leading facility resources and personnel to achieve or surpass organizational objectives. The Operations Engineering Manager will strategize initiatives and apply enterprise standards effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs and allocates tasks to uphold the highest operational standards regarding facility cleanliness, appearance, and Environmental, Health, and Safety protocols.
  • Champions facility operations priorities to fulfill or exceed customer expectations, accomplish goals set through SMART goal deployment, achieve KPIs, and maximize employee engagement and development.
  • Ensures the sustained success of process improvement initiatives by enforcing policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Implements demand-driven principles and strategies that bolster operational excellence and long-term planning (Flexibility, Speed & Responsiveness).
  • Guarantees that product, material, and information flows are synchronized to achieve maximum efficiency and minimal operational costs.
  • Responsible for generating innovative concepts to enhance business performance.
  • Creates a safe and healthy workplace by establishing practices, policies, and initiatives that exceed the National Safety Council average for Recordable Injuries and Lost Workdays compared to similar companies.
  • Evaluates situations impartially and demonstrates the capacity to make decisions that positively influence work performance and overall business outcomes.
  • Organizes and prioritizes assignments to ensure timely completion with quality, while proactively identifying potential issues.
  • Accountable for determining resource requirements and operating within budgetary and staffing constraints to meet objectives.
  • Acts as a SAP Super User within the assigned functional area.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience in a similar operational environment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering management experience in a comparable setting.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Proven understanding of financial metrics and objectives.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective project leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to influence senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple sites and functions to develop unified solutions.
  • Experience in high mix, low volume, and high volume, low mix production environments.
  • Track record of managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify creative solutions and frame logical conclusions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management or MBA.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP/Oracle).
  • Prior experience utilizing SAP or equivalent ERP systems.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
