How you make a difference:

The Benefits Entitlement Coordinator will perform insurance eligibility and enrollment activities for patients with inpatient stays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct weekly EEDR reviews and IP Stay reports to identify eligible inpatient stays and ensure proper NFL edits are in place.
  • Assist with enrollment applications for inpatient stays and ensure timely completion of Medicare/Medicaid enrollment activities.
  • Notify providers of insurance identification numbers and maintain control file for enrollment application progress and status.
  • Work with claims to identify and address possible improper payments.
  • Maintain database for indigent persons-served, ensure Medicaid applications are submitted, and provide monthly insurance reporting to the client.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelors degree or Associates in business preferred.

Experience

  • Knowledge of medical insurance processing and medical terminologies.
