As a Senior Sales Analyst at Orion, you will enable a data driven decision-making culture by providing insights at the point of decision. Through exploratory analysis and deep understanding of the business, this role will ensure critical descriptive, and leading indicators are available to decision makers within their workflows. Responsible for reporting, data mining, data analysis and project support for the sales team and management. The Senior Sales Analyst will analyze available data and present initial findings with recommended action steps and additional research needs. In this role, you'll get to:
  • Work closely with the Sales & marketing team to ensure alignment from a reporting and analysis standpoint while taking end-to-end ownership of assignments
  • Work with internal partners and stakeholders, gather requirements to identify and fully scope out problem statements, and build dashboards, reports, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Assist in problem-solving on related topics between departments and vendors as needed; devise, coordinate, and conduct data-cleansing initiatives
  • Validate results, identify data quality issues, and take ownership of the accuracy of the data being visualized
  • Evaluate processes and determine if they can be automated
  • Proactively monitor that data is flowing correctly between tools and tools are functioning correctly
  • Develop intuitive, rich interactive visualizations, meet stakeholder requirements, and integrate various reporting components from multiple data sources.
  • Provide timely, actionable insights into the sales pipeline for forecasting, planning, performance, and other purposes through recurring and ad-hoc reports.
  • Work with the Sales team and management to explain variances and trends versus prior periods.
  • Analyze underlying data to explain variances and trends compared to historical periods, generate business insights, and proactively identify business problems and opportunities.

  • Executes on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Has excellent problem-solving skills
  • Has a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Statistics, Analytics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or related field
  • Obtain Orion Industry Certification
  • Has a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst
  • Has a minimum of 2 years of experience creating dashboards in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or related tools
  • Has demonstrated success in solving business problems through analysis
  • Preferably experience working within the Financial Services industry
  • Preferably experience working with Salesforce, Salesloft, and Pardot
  • Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
