Summary
Plan, direct, or coordinate one or more administrative services of an organization, such as records and information management, mail distribution, facilities planning and maintenance, custodial operations, and other office support services. Applicant must have experience working in a licensed childcare facility. Applicant must be familiar with Texas Child Care Licensing Regulations. Applicants must work well with others, including children, parents, teachers, and support staff. Applicant must be able to supervise and manage staff locations and building needs. Applicant must be able to handle incoming calls, registrations, tours, in-process new families, assist teachers when necessary, and conduct observations when needed. Applicant must be able to communicate with the executive director and conduct monthly staff meetings. Applicant must be familiar with Texas Rising Star accreditation. Applicant must possess a combination of leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Possess a natural ability to lead others, able to delegate tasks, In addition to these core qualities, an effective Child Care
Assistant/Supervisor
should also demonstrate compassion, patience, and a genuine love for working with children and families.
Duties
Assume duties of Center Director and Teachers as needed during their absence.
Collaborate with staff to ensure adherence to quality standards by Center guidelines and state and local requirements; implement improvements where needed.
Maintain communication with families and the community through appropriate outreach activities.
Follow all center policies and state regulations.
Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
3 – 5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting.
2-3 years experience in a supervisory position
High energy.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
A strong understanding of child development.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
Must clear full background check.
Able to follow safety guidelines.
