Solaris HealthCare is looking for a Staffing Coordinator to join our team

Staffing Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule healthcare staff,including nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, and other clinical andnon-clinical personnel, to ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts
  • Evaluate staffing needs based onresident/patient acuity, census, and regulatory requirements, and adjustschedules accordingly
  • Communicate staffing needs, shift changes, andscheduling updates to staff members, managers, and administrators in a timelyand effective manner
  • Coordinate with staffing agencies and temporarystaffing services to fill open shifts and maintain adequate staffing levelsduring peak demand periods or staff shortages
  • Verify credentials, certifications, andlicensure for all staff members and ensure compliance with regulatoryrequirements and organizational policies
  • Monitor and track employee attendance,tardiness, and time-off requests, and maintain accurate records of worked hoursand overtime
  • Assist in managing staffing budgets bymonitoring labor costs, overtime expenses, and agency staffing expenditures
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating stafftraining sessions, orientations, and in-services to ensure ongoing compliancewith regulatory requirements and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employeerecords, scheduling databases, and staffing reports using electronic schedulingand workforce management systems
  • Address staffing issues, conflicts, andscheduling concerns in a proactive and timely manner, collaborating withdepartment managers and human resources as needed
Staffing Coordinator Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in healthcare staffing,scheduling, or workforce management preferred
  • Strong organizational and time managementskills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple competingpriorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonalskills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff members, managers,and external vendors
  • Proficiency in computer applications andscheduling software
  • Knowledge of labor laws, regulations, andhealthcare staffing requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of ateam in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entryand record-keeping
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing staffing needsand schedules
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality andadhering to ethical and professional standards
  • Enrolled in a State approvedCertified Nurse's Aide training program and complete that certified testingwithin 120 days of employment (preferred) or active Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA)
