Astra Solutions is currently seeking an Audit Readiness Specialist to support the Continuous Monitoring Program (CMP) with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service. This is a hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days a week in the office. Responsibilities Include: Support audit remediation activities, such as developing/updating process documentation (e.g., narratives and flow charts), and developing/implementing corrective action plans to address findings. Perform recurring testing, such as testing internal controls, designing, and executing Manager’s Internal Controls Programs (Risk Manager’s Internal Control Program) Perform and review statement analysis, financial information, reporting results, and financial statement audit report analysis Required Qualifications: Ability to obtain and maintain a federal SECRET security clearance. 3+ years of relevant work experience. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or another related field Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel Demonstrated time management skills (i.e., organization, prioritization, communication, planning, problem-solving, and note-taking) Preferred Qualifications: An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance Experience with: - Providing assessments and improvements of - Applying pertinent financial accounting standards advisory board (FASAB) policies and requirements readiness services, or audit remediation and sustainment services within DoD or another Federal Government agency or department - Internal controls documentation and/or testing required One of the following professional certifications: CPA, CISA, CIA, CGFM, or CDFM Astra Solutions LLC, established in 2020, specializes in Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA), procurement, and product prototyping and development services for the Federal Government and commercial customers.
