Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Freight Audit Specialist to join our team at TA Services, a leading third-party logistics provider (3PL). As a Freight Audit Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and executing freight audit processes, ensuring accurate billing, and resolving discrepancies related to transportation invoices. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of freight audit procedures and industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed audits of freight bills and invoices received from carriers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to terms and conditions.
- Monitor and ensure timely receipt of carrier documentation and invoices.
- Review and validate transportation charges, rates, and related information against contractual agreements, tariffs, and industry standards.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies with out of tolerance carrier invoices and billing errors.
- Ensure compliance with carrier contracts, tariff regulations, and laws
- Present corrective action to management to resolve carrier invoicing problems
- Support carrier portal training and troubleshooting
- Other duties as required and assigned
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate a proved ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external customers.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/equivalent
- Minimum two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum one year experience in carrier freight audit or transportation role
- LTL pricing and audit experience desired
- Experience with Transportation Manager Systems (TMS) preferred
- PC literate experience using Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
