The line mechanic is also responsible for training operators, finding ways to enhance and optimize existing equipment, and identifying new equipment that can help gain efficiencies in existing manufacturing processes. WHAT YOU'RE GOOD AT: You have a foundational understanding of mechanical processes and are confident in troubleshooting machinery You are a self-starter who is organized, adaptable, and able to embrace continuous and rapid change You are an innovative problem solver who thinks outside the box and utilizes resources available to you You are a team player who enjoys supporting and growing team members WHAT YOU'VE DONE: A minimum of one year of experience as a line mechanic and two years of experience installing and maintaining automation equipment High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training preferred Experience with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems Experience designing CAD files and CNC work is a plus WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Perform repairs and maintenance on packaging machines used in cannabis production and packaging, including but not limited to weigh scales, labeling machines, bagging machines and more Work closely with other technicians and production staff to ensure that all automation equipment are running optimally and meeting output and uptime goals Assist with changeover adjustments as needed Document all repairs and maintenance activities in the appropriate logbooks and software applications Participate in the development of preventive maintenance schedules for all packaging machines Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Identify and research new and emerging automation solutions to improve the quality, efficiency, and cost of manufacturing processes PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to work in a variety of environments, including hot and cold temperatures, noisy environments, and confined spaces WORK ENVIRONMENT: Warehouse WHO WE ARE: Mammoth Distribution has been working steadily for several years to help build the cannabis industry one relationship at a time.
