Front of House Restaurant Manager

The Restaurant Manager is a leader in the restaurant and takes responsibility for maintaining the writtenmstandards of the company and ultimately delivering the financial and qualitative measurements of success. To achieve this, the manager must be an expert at balancing the needs of the team, the guests, the community and the ownership. This dynamic position is given comprehensive training in BOH and FOH
operations and will be expected to certify as a General Manager within six months
- Assists with running the restaurant with a focus on quality and guest experience
- As a leader, this individual will be able to work any position that they are supervising, leads by example
- The person who fills this position is looking to grow with a company
- Knows our menu inside and out and is passionate about NC style BBQ
- Provides over the top hospitality to the guest throughout their dining experience
- Makes sure that all of our guests Taste the Love
- Likes working in a Team environment

- Above all, enjoys the hospitality business
The ideal candidate will possess at least 90% of the following:
- A four year degree in business, preferably hospitality management
- Excellent oral and written writing skills
- Adequate computer skills and more importantly, the ability to learn a new computer application quickly
- and follow the standards associated with it
- Above average knowledge of food, craft beer, spirits and other finer things in life
- Integrity, honesty, accountability, a passion for excellence and an incapability of making excuses for
- anything less than excellence
- A natural surplus of hospitality extended to guests, employees and vendors no matter the circumstances
- Involvement in the community
- An unusually attentive focus on details and a compulsive desire to make even the smallest details perfect
- Above all, a desire to be the best

- Has knowledge in the areas of beverage management, kitchen operations, training and development, and front desk operations. Knows the standards and procedures associated with each of these areas and can teach them to subordinates
- Has general knowledge in at all skills sets of leadership including recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in an exemplary fashion
- Demonstrates good financial acumen overall. Can write annual financial budgets for the restaurant and reviews financial performance daily and weekly to ensure the budget s met. Makes the company money
- Is capable of growing sales and can fully engage the community. Creates a culture of - Always Marketing
- The manager must set the example for professional behavior, on and off the job
- Maintains a culture of constant ongoing training and continuous improvement with no excuses
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, and hear
- The employee is required to be on foot for a large portion of the day/shift. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle or feel tools or controls; must be able to lift and/or move heavy objects including tables and cases of food and beverage; must be able to lift approximately 20 pounds overhead
- When performing office functions, will be required to sit and work directly on a computer for several hours at time
- Must be able to sustain constant mental and visual attention
- Kitchen environment, including hot areas, hot tools, hot plates, sharp knives and tools
- Outdoor off-site catering venues
- Office environment
- Exempt status
- Dynamic schedule can vary from week to week; work required on weekends and holidays and must be willing to work 45-55 hours per week as needed
