Job Overview
As a Back of House Operations Supervisor at Juicy Lucy's Burger Bar and Grill, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary team and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining high standards of food quality and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all kitchen stations including Prep, Fry, Salad, Grill, and Lead Line.
- Supervise and mentor team members, demonstrating expertise in all kitchen roles.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and the vision statement consistently.
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure food quality consistently meets or exceeds guest expectations.
- Maintain adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
- Promote brand loyalty among staff and guests.
- Exhibit a proactive and energetic approach to daily operations.
- Manage daily operations, focusing on profit and loss through effective food cost management, portion control, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with Front of House Management to develop and manage the restaurant's annual operating budget.
- Operate in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Play a key role in the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of employees.
- Manage shift operations, including decision-making, staff support, and scheduling.
- Maximize table turnover and sales metrics.
- Ensure a safe working environment for both staff and guests.
- Monitor daily activities to uphold food quality and cleanliness standards.
- Achieve the restaurant's financial goals and manage expenses effectively.
- Foster a warm, friendly, and hospitable atmosphere while maintaining professionalism.
- Prepare quarterly sales projections and follow up on action plans.
- Conduct inventory management.
- Be proficient in all kitchen stations, leading by example.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3 years in a managerial role within full-service casual dining.
- Experience in establishments serving alcohol is a plus.
- Proven track record of maintaining high standards in cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, and guest satisfaction.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate a team.
- Familiarity with profit and loss management and sales growth strategies is highly desirable.
