The

Associate AV Project Engineer

plays a critical role in our team, bringing knowledge of the construction industry with a focus on AV/IT audiovisual systems. This position requires a basic understanding of project management principles and the ability to assist in preparing Audioisual (AV)/nformation Technology (IT) documentation. The

Associate AV Project Engineer

will help develop each project's scope as directed.

Requirements:

Associate degree in technology or equivalent experience;

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.

Previous experience in AV/IT industry integration preferred. Must obtain AVIXA CTS certification within one year. Must obtain CompTIA ITF+ certification within one year. Proficiency with Windows and Apple software. Preferred experience with drawings and requirement documentation for architectural design packages. Basic proficiency in commissioning Audiovisual (AV) and Information Technology (IT) systems. Basic experience with hand tools and test equipment used in Audiovisual (AV) and Information Technology (IT) trades. Ability to multi-task and manage several tasks simultaneously. Preferred experience solving practical problems with concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Preferred experience interpreting and creating instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Basic knowledge of International Building Code (IBC) and National Electric Codes (NEC) preferred. Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and customer documents. Support the estimating team in defining scope, schedule, costs, and resource estimation, including labor. Collaborate with project teams or work independently to document system design and plan for project completion within time, cost, and scope constraints. Assist the project implementation team with necessary documentation, instructions, schedules, and tools. Work with in-house design teams to develop Audiovisual (AV) and Information Technology (IT) systems and room requirements for client spaces. Help develop drawings for Audiovisual (AV) and Information Technology (IT)systems

including AV/IT electrical plans, elevations, details, functional diagrams, and equipment schedules.

Assist design teams with calculating HVAC, lighting, and acoustic requirements as needed. On bid projects, assist with bid reviews, take-offs, and submittal preparation. Help properly archive job documentation. Assist with job completion tasks during commissioning ensuring the system meets quality and performance standards for client approval.
