Description

The Machinist perform repairs, overhaul, and rework of aviation parts, tooling and components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Operates manual machines, mills (small and large), lathes, grinders, and other machinery

+ Operates a CNC machine. We operate a HAAS 3 axis mill and a CNC machine

+ Performs rework on aviation components parts and tooling

+ Changes and sets cutting tools

+ Modifies and grinds tools as needed

+ Works within very tight tolerances

+ Studies and interprets engineer drawings, blueprints, manuals, and specifications

+ Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

+ High school diploma or equivalent required

+ Minimum 5 years experience in manual machining required

+ Prior machining experience in aviation industry preferred

+ Experience with manual machines

+ Experience with CNC machines

+ Experience with large jig bore machine is a plus

+ Ability to use precision measuring equipment and hand tools appropriate to the assigned tasks

+ Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as needed

+ Ability to work in a shop environment or outdoors locally or in remote locations as needed for customer support

+ Good written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

+ Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

+ Conduct oneself in accordance with Companys Core Values
