Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage security solutions for our cloud environment to maximize resilience against cyber threats.
  • Formulate and enforce cloud security policies, controls, and best practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards and compliance regulations.
  • Act as a key liaison with internal stakeholders, translating business requirements into secure cloud solutions.
  • Author, revise, and uphold security documentation, frameworks, and standards.
  • Develop and routinely test security incident response plans; participate in incident response efforts and post-event analyses.
  • Keep abreast of emerging threats, technologies, and trends in the cloud security realm.
  • Offer expertise, guidance, and hands-on support to fellow cybersecurity team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • Regularly assess and report on the effectiveness of cloud security tools, strategies, and measures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years in Information Security, with at least 3 years dedicated to Microsoft Azure Security.
  • Proven expertise in:
    • Microsoft Defender suite: Identity, O365, Endpoint, Cloud Apps, Information Protection, Governance, eDiscovery.
    • Azure Active Directory.
    • Intune
    • Exchange Online Protection.
  • Solid grounding in networking principles, OS intricacies, and the fundamentals of cloud architectures.
  • Proficiency with enterprise identity solutions: SSO, MFA, Conditional Access.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing cybersecurity incidents and leading response initiatives.
  • Strong analytical mindset coupled with adept problem-solving prowess.
  • Stellar communication skills, with an aptitude for translating technical details for varied audiences.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, or Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (preferred).
  • Familiarity with email security best practices, advanced threat protections, and email authentication methods (preferred).

National Life is accepting applications for this role on an ongoing basis and the role remains open until filled.

The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.

Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.
