Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our service organization, you will:
  • Assist software engineering and infrastructure teams in automating deployments and continuous monitoring.
  • Identify, track, and resolve software defects while conducting root cause analysis.
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable deliverables.
  • Break down large projects into manageable tasks and create efficient automated processes for swift delivery.
  • Communicate effectively regarding changing requirements and corrective actions.
  • Maintain legacy systems while transitioning to cloud-native solutions.

Additional Duties

Respond promptly to internal and client issues. Ensure compliance with change management policies and best practices. Manage CI/CD processes and collaborate with product development teams to ensure adherence to these processes. Work with teams to version and deploy application configurations alongside software.

Participate in on-call schedules utilizing a "follow the sun" model. Ensure virtual infrastructure configuration is versioned and deployed consistently. Collaborate with product teams to monitor production services, ensuring visibility of performance, outages, and response times. Maintain security protocols for virtual infrastructure in line with best practices.

Documentation and Reporting

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of standard operating procedures. Provide management with reports on the status of environments and processes, along with KPIs for environments, build processes, and deployment pipelines.

Required Skills

Team Communication: Proficient in ADO Boards, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
Development Infrastructure: Experience with Terraform, HELM/Kubernetes, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, and AWX/Ansible.
Cloud / Virtualization Technologies: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and VMWare.
Development / Scripting: Knowledge of SQL, Python, Powershell, CLI, JSON, and YAML.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, coupled with 7+ years of experience in software engineering or a comparable combination of education and experience. A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in operating Enterprise SaaS or On-Prem software is essential. Proven time management skills and experience in agile environments with distributed engineering teams are required. Familiarity with testing web services (REST, SOAP) and test management tools like Azure DevOps or Zephyr is preferred.

Additional Experience:
  • Managing Windows and Linux-based systems.
  • Working in a Continuous Delivery environment.
  • Utilizing Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as DataDog, Solarwinds, and PagerDuty.
  • Knowledge of CI servers like AWX/Ansible, Jenkins, Octopus, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with GitOps-based Kubernetes Continuous Deployment platforms.
  • Designing and managing Release Management practices.
  • Building and working with Kubernetes Operators.
  • Proficient in Python, Powershell, and other scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with both RDMS and NoSQL database systems.
  • Experience with database schema management tools such as Liquibase.
