Ensure effective management within the marketing, communications and public relations function, with provision forsuccession. Qualifications Minimum of 7 years experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success. Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or similar area of study or equivalent years of experience in a similar position. Experience and/or exposure to the Horticultural Industry strongly preferred. Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities. Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills. Experience developing and managing budgets, and hiring, developing, supervising and appraising personnel. Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, making presentations and negotiating with media. Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications. Computer literacy in word processing, data base management and page layout. Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production social media, etc. Commitment to working with shared leadership and other members of staff. Strong oral and written communications skills. Ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Approximately 5% Out-of-town, overnight travel is required.
