The Energy Procurement Specialist at Sofidel will be responsible for managing the procurement of energy commodities, including electricity and natural gas, to support our manufacturing operations. This role involves negotiating contracts, analyzing market trends, and developing cost-effective energy procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of energy markets, strong analytical skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with energy suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement energy procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and manage risk.
- Negotiate and manage energy supply contracts, ensuring compliance with Sofidels policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze energy market trends, prices, and forecasts to inform procurement decisions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand energy needs and provide strategic procurement advice.
- Maintain relationships with energy suppliers, brokers, and other industry contacts.
- Prepare and present reports on energy procurement activities, market conditions, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of energy contracts, invoices, and related documentation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of energy management initiatives and sustainability projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Energy Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in energy procurement or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of energy markets, including electricity and natural gas.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and market research.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Certified Energy Procurement Professional (CEP) or similar certification is a plus.
